How to Use One Hand Mode on Big Android Phones

Why do we need One Hand Mode on big Android phones?

Nowadays phones come with big screens, so it becomes difficult to reach the top corners with one hand. So Android gives a built-in One Hand Mode which shrinks the screen to a smaller size. So we can easily use our phone with just one hand.

Follow the steps below to use One Hand Mode on your Android phone:

  1. Open Settings on your Android phone.
  2. Then go to Advanced Features or Display settings, depending on your phone brand.
  3. Here you will find an option called One-Handed Mode. Tap on it.
  4. Turn on the toggle to enable One-Handed Mode.
  5. You can also choose the gesture to trigger it. Mostly it is swiping down from the bottom corner of the screen.
  6. Now go to your home screen and try the gesture you selected. Your screen will instantly shrink to one side.
  7. To switch sides, just tap the arrow icon on the shrunken screen. It will move to the other side for easy reach.
  8. To exit One-Handed Mode, simply tap anywhere outside the shrunken screen.

Note: If your phone doesn't have this option built-in, you can also download One Hand Operation+ or similar apps from Play Store to get this feature.
