The Easiest Way to Freeze Google sheet columns and rows
Struggling to freeze Google sheet columns and rows? You’re not alone. Google sheet have an inbuilt feature called freeze.
Here’s how you can achieve this in just a few steps:
For freezing the column:
- Open any Google Sheet.
- Select the column that you want to freeze.. After selection, the column heads will be turned to a blue background.
- Then, in the menu, click the "View", then choose "Freeze".
- Then choose "up to column" ( if you selected column A, it will show up to column A, if you selected column Y, it will show "up to column Y"
- Now the selected column goes freeze mode, now you can scroll left/right, but the selected column sticks until you turn it off.
For freezing the row:
- Open any Google Sheet.
- Select the row that you want to freeze.. After selection, the row heads will be turned to a blue background.
- Then, in the menu, click the "View", then choose "Freeze".
- Then choose "up to row" ( if you selected the 3rd row, it will show up to column 3, if you selected the 5th row, it will show up to row 5)
- Now the selected rows go freeze mode, now you can scroll the bottom/top, but the selected rows stick until you turn it off.
The Result: This simple process ensures you will achieve a Google Sheet rows and column freeze mode.
